HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS SOUR CABBAGE SOUP WITH SMOKED MEAT

People know him mainly from the chef´s show Masterchef, today he is devoted to his own cooking school. In Masterchef he met many great people, their enthusiasm fascinated him. And so he began to play with the idea of showing people at this time of fast-running day that cooking can also be a fun thing realized relatively quickly, healthily and cheaply.

Sour cabbage soup definitely belongs to Christmas. Every good recipe is based on quality products and a proven recipe. Be inspired by the original recipe, which has been prepared by our chef Ivan Rusina.

What we need:
sour cabbage 1kg
onion 100g
garlic 30g
red ground pepper 10g
fresh pork meat with bone 300g
SPIŠ smoked leg TAURIS 300g
raw sausage for sour cabbage soup, TAURIS 300g
dried mushrooms 10g
dried plums 30g
potatoes 300g
salt
pepper according to need

Method:
Put the mushrooms and plums in the water. We cut the sour cabbage and, if it is very sour, rinse it with water. Smoked and fresh meat cook in the water, to which we add bay leaf and new pepper.
Roast on oil finely chopped onion and garlic, add chopped mushrooms and plums. We will stew everything together briefly, "dust" with pepper, add cabbage and stew further. We put the broth that came from the meat. Add potatoes, cut into small cubes.
Cooled meat take away from the bone and add it to the cabbage, along with the sliced sausage. We cook it briefly, flavor with salt, spices, sugar according to need.
